Loveden Central

Welcome to our website for Loveden Central Group of Parishes! My name is Reverend Sara Davies, and I am the new Priest-in Charge from August 2023.

We are a group of twelve Parish Churches as well as Normanton Church run by the Churches Conservation Trust. The church at Brandon, The Church of St. John the Evangelist, is a Chapel of Ease; normal church services can take place here but for a wedding, permission has to be obtained from the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Loveden Central Group of Parishes came into existence in 2023 and involves some of the churches from what was the South Cliff Group of Churches, as well as five churches within what has previously been known as Leadenham Plurality. We are part of Lincoln Diocese which has been re-ordered as part of the ‘Time To Change Together’ (TTCT) initiative.

Loveden Deanery has three groups of parishes within it working together as a Local Mission Partnership, each to be led by a Stipendiary Priest. We are joined with Grantham , Beltisloe and Stamford deaneries to form South Kesteven Deanery Partnership.

As a new group, we are getting used to a rota which reflects how each church has been categorized, and offers as many church services and styles of worship that can be managed. I am assisted by a retired priest with Permission To Officiate (PTO), two Licensed Readers and eleven Authorised Lay Ministers who support me; their ministry is valued.
In line with TTCT, we are committed as a family of churches to serving our congregations and communities as together we seek to transform lives in Greater Lincolnshire
